THANKFUL

Well it is almost Thanksgiving and I know I am busy from now til then so I thought I would post about some things I am Thankful for.

1. The Gospel. I am thankful for the gospel and the joy it brings in my life.

2. Reddek. I just love my little boy. He is such a good kid and he has brought so much joy to our family. Jason and I always say we want another Reddek...I know we will love all our kids, but Reddek is just so easy going and is so easy to love. I am thankful that our Heavenly Father let this sweet spirit come into our family.

3. Jason. I know I don't tell Jason enough how thankful I am for him. He works hard for our family and helps me out with everything. He is a great dad and hubby.

4. My parents. I know I took my parents for granted. I am thankful for everything they did and do for me. They are always there for us and help us out with everything.

5. Friends and Family. I am thankful for the good friends I have and have had in my life and what great examples they are to me. Family is the best!!! I love all my family and Jason's. I couldn't of asked for a better family to marry into.

I know there are many other things to be grateful for, but this is my small list.

Close Friends

Last week we went to our Best friend's house...thats right Cameron and BreAnn!!! They had a little girl not too long ago and Reddek has been sick so we finally made it up there. And you know how most people bring you dinner when you have a new baby, no not us we went up there for them to feed us. We know how to work it!!! We always have fun with these guys and I am so glad they are our friends. Thanks for the pizza now we owe you! The boys had fun playing once Reddek warmed up(he is really shy). This is the cute boy Brayden

Their baby girl Aydrie

I know everyone is aware of the economy right now. I have had a hard time the last few months. I am so grateful Jason and I have our jobs, a place to live and great family and friends around us. I work at Stock Building Supply and of course we supply building supplies. Well everyone knows that building has slowed down a TON! I love where I work and all the people I work with. However I have seen so many great people loose their jobs due to how slow we are. I have left work crying many times for these people. I know they are all ok, but it SUCKS!!! Now we are under staffed and so everyone works a TON! I am trying to be a mom, and work. It was great when we had enough people to stay caught up with what is going on, but now we are all so slammed. Have you ever felt like you were drowning? That is how I feel. They are nice enough to let me do work from home, but I sometimes just want to get AWAY from work. I am the last one that should be complaining, i still have my job, and I work way less than anyone else working there. Some of the guys work 14 hour days everyday. I hope we get over this hard time. It is just weird to me how much I didn't know growing up. My parents were just always trying to survive and give us kids all they could. Now I am living that with Reddek. Nothing is for sure and you are always just surviving. I am grateful for all that we have and pray for those that have lost their jobs everyday. But good new is gas has gone down!!! I filled up my car and it was completely empty on $23.00...YAHOO :)
Sorry for the negative post I have just been feeling so bad about things lately, so I needed to vent it out!

Baptism

Dry cleaning - $13.00

Gas - $30.00

Speeding Ticket - $82.00

Hair - $70.00

Watching my husband baptize his nephew...PRICELESS!!!

I don't have any pictures, but a couple weeks ago we went to Ephraim for Ryland's baptism and it was so nice. Jason had never baptized anyone and his nephew asked him to do the baptism. What can I say Jason felt so honored to be the one he asked. I was so proud of Ryland's choice to be baptized. It was a great experience and it was so nice to spend time with family. As you can see above it started out pretty bad but ended great

~HALLOWEEN~

Happy Halloween :-)
This is the McCaul family on Halloween...hey we don't look that good, but at least we got in the spirit! I originally got the old lady stuff from the DI for myself because Jason was being a punk and didn't want to dress up. Well the night before we were making our treats for our work party and he decided it would be funny if he was an old lady! So I threw an old man costume together the night before Halloween! It was cheap. FREE so I liked that part of it. Reddek was a cute little red dragon.

We started the day off by buying Jason a new truck! I don't have any pictures yet, well I probably won't because it isn't that cool, but for us it is since it is our first truck! It is a Dodge Dakota 2006 and my favorite part is we got it for such a great deal. Anyway...i dressed up that morning for work not realizing i would have to go to the bank to sign the papers in my dorky costume. But who cares you can't worry what people are thinking on Halloween. Since it was month end I had to work all day. I was sad to leave the boys all afternoon I really started missing Reddek and Collyn. Then Julie sent me this cute video of Reddek playing in the leaves and it cheered me right up :-)

After I finally got off work at lets see 5:30...then an hour drive home. We all hooked up at Joe and Andria's for some great soup and chili and lots of yummy treats. My sister and her husband even came out since our neighborhoods out here actually still do the traditional trick-or-treating door to door. It was so fun to watch the little ones. Reddek kind of got what was going on the first house when he said trick or treat and they gave him a candy he said WOW and then grabbed another one and I said no please put it back he said "no for Daddy" so the lady said oh how cute and let us keep it. But he wouldn't let anyone help him carry his sack of candy! It was getting heavy by the end of the night and he was literally dragging it on the ground but screamed MINE if we tried to help him.

It ended with us putting the kids in the bath I in the shower and talked for a while until finally the kids crashed and we stayed up watching a scary movie!!!

I loved this Halloween!

Reddek's 2nd birthday party!!!

Last year!

This year!

So Sunday was Reddek's 2nd birthday! We had lots of family over for a party. It was so fun...it makes me sad to think it was already two years ago we were in the hospital. He is growing up so fast, but I guess they all do right? We are lucky to have him in our family he is such a good and fun boy!
I really wanted to make a cool birthday cake and for those that know me know that was pretty much a dream not a reality. I went to a party store and saw the coolest cake pan that's right Lightning McQueen...so i bought it thought how hard can it be. Well after talking to some neighbors i found out it coul d be pretty hard. So I stressed out all weekend about making this stupid cake I almost bought on e at costco Friday, but luckily didn't. My parents came up Saturday night and so in the morning i baked the cake before church...that s not too hard right? Well I was so nervous about it sticking that I decided to shower before I even attempt to take it out...and this is just the cake let a lone dinner for about 25 people. Well I got in a nice relaxing shower. Got out to find Jason had got all the meat cooking, the veggies cut and in the pan and my wonderful mom had got the cake out without it sticking at all!!! Hooray my stress went down a little. Well after church I had to make frosting and then try to frost the cake. I am not artistic at all!!! But my sister and her husband showed up just in time to help me frost the cake. Ok they basically did it and told me what to do. I know for those that make cakes or decorate them this is no big deal! But for me this is awesome...it might not be perfect but way better than I expected!!!

Yes, Reddek got spoiled from EVERYBODY!!! From clothes, to books to cars, to trucks to stuffed animals he is set for a while. Thanks everyone you didn't need to give him so much. He loves all his presents and thanks to everyone for coming.
Red's cousins Collyn, Sydney and Avery
Rachel, Audrey, Denise and Grandpa Lud

Kelly, Kennady(red's cousins) Grandma Lud, and Uncle Joe
Andria, Shannon and Parris (aunts and uncle)
Jason's little sister Julie and her husband!
Jason with his mom and step dad!
Sydney entertaining the kids! They all love her and Kennady so much for playing with them. And so do the parents so they can eat and relax.

Reddek LOVES trucks and bikes...his uncles must know him pretty well! He was entertained all day today he actually had to take one of his trucks with him too bed...that is the only way he would go to bed without freaking out!!!
