My Little Brother

My little brother Kalon was flying out to L.A and had a three hour lay over in Salt Lake so we all went up got him and went to dinner. He lives in Idaho and is a gymnast going to school to be a pharmacist working to support himself at the gym and at a pharmacy. He is awesome! If his event was in the Olympics he for sure would have been there this year! Dang it!!! He does power tumbling and to me it is way more fun to watch than the floor routine even the bars and beam...but oh well people higher up think differently :) He just got back from Russia a couple days ago where he had a world competition and he took 2nd! Which is awesome there are all the countries there competing so to take 2nd is amazing. He is now on his way to L.A so USA gymnastics can record him doing all the new passes that will be judged this next year which is a pretty big deal they send them all over the country to the different gyms so they can have the updated passes. He is simply awesome I wish I had his talent and dedication! He flies all over the world all year competing and yet he still takes about 15 credit hours sometimes more and manages to get straight As...Ok maybe some A - s but that is still awesome. He also is working to do this so he can afford his rent and food let alone all of his trips. I love this kid and although I don't get to see him very often am very close to him. He is so relaxed and easy going. Reddek keeps saying Kalon all day because he wants to go see him again, but no Kalon: (. I don't know how to down load a video of him but if you go to that web site you can see how awesome he is...I really got to get better at putting video on...I suck!

My other little brother Logan is awesome too, he rides bulls! I know crazy and I don't know how my mom lets him get up there each weekend, but she does! He does really well he actually rides a lot of them for the 8 seconds...I don't know what happened to my sister and I we are just normal girls didn't do anything too exciting : ) I am proud of Logan and Reddek always asks to go watch logan ride a bull.

You can hardly see, but my mom took the kids over to the pool to try and keep them enertained while some of us finished eating! They loved that part, but kept wanting to jump in : 0
As you can tell the little ones didn't love holding still for the pictures

All my sibs..............Kalon (20) Logan (17) Me (24) Rachel (25)

~Fun Ladies Night~

Well last night a group of 6 ladies went to So you think you can dance live! It was so awesome!!! I never watch the show but I will for sure now...i loved it. Thanks to Andria I actually experience some fun stuff. We all went to Red Robin I got the chicken teriyaki which is chicken bbq sauce pineapple lettuce and tomato and of course the endless steak fries yummmmmmmmmmy! Then we headed to the E center! We were all rockin out then realized we were in a mini van and probably look stupid but of course none of us stopped. We get to parking and it is $10.00 for normal and $20.00 for premium...non of us were that desperate to get in to pay $20.00 dollars, except Kelsi! So she paid $15.00 and we all put like a dollar in to make up the rest aren't we cheap? But thanks Kelsi it made it so much nicer when it was over to get out so fast! I still don't know if I would pay $20.00 to park but for those that would it is worth the extra.

Andria and I
The three stooges...oh i mean sisters

Ouf fun group of ladies that went! Andria, Leslie, Me, Kelsi, Alli, and Erica...yes we are all dressed alike!
This dance was a group dance and I loved it it was an India dance and it was awesome
Group shot at the end...they are all such good dancers!
My favorite was one that one of the choreographers did for his daughter that is handicapped and it was so beautiful. I stole these pictures from Andria's blog by the way and she didn't take one of it but it was so cool it really made me want to be a dancer. Ok well they all made me want to be a dancer.

SICK AGAIN?

I swear I am always writing about Reddek being sick, probably because he is! Our house is clean and I try to wash his and my hands, but he still gets it!!! He had a little cold maybe a month ago and he has still been coughing off and on from that and I swear he has had a stuffy nose since he was born...Well about two days ago he woke up really sick just a cold. I was wiping his nose all day washing his hands, and then that night he was up coughing. Since he is younger than 6 you can't give him cold or cough medicine (which I don't think it helps anyway) so he was just up coughing and I felt like I couldn't do anything for him. Well last night was even WORSE!!! He was stuffy and coughing all day then when it came time for bedtime I did what the Dr. said, put him in a bath in a nice hot bathroom...I let the shower run on hot for about 10 mins before I started his bath so the bathroom made ya clear up when you got in there. We had a bath brushed his teeth and then went to say our prayers before I laid him down. Well I lay him down and he starts coughing so much he pukes! I then realize that he isn't going to be able to sleep in his bed. I get in the rocking chair with him and we recline and I rock him ALL NIGHT! Not to mention this week at work I have been getting up at 4:00 or 4:30 so I can get to work and do training with all the guys before the end of the month. Well we rocked and he coughed and puked a couple more times, then at 4:30 he said "mom a bed". So I took him upstairs and laid him down in his bed so I could start getting ready for work. Well I still hear him in there coughing. So what can you do for a little one that won't stop coughing? I ended up giving him some children's cough medicine, it didn't help, I put Vicks on his feet then put socks on, and it didn't help. I am so lost on what I can do for him. I would take him to the dr, but last month when he was sick I wasted $25.00 for them to tell me to put his mattress on an incline, give him a warm bath before bed and use a humidifier...I am already doing that! So please help! Maybe this is just motherhood and I better get use to it. The worse part is you feel so bad for your baby well I guess kid now. I don't really care that I haven't got much sleep I really just want him to feel better for himself.

This is my cutie right now...sleeping but I have way too much laundry with puke on it to take nap!

Where has summer gone?

I love this time of year, but I feel like summer just started! We just got use to doing yard work and keeping my flowers alive and now it is fall! Summer went by so fast for us this year. Even though it has come and gone we enjoyed it and I love the stage we are at! I love the little routines we get into...Saturday's are my favorite!!! I wake up at about 7:00 am go running 5-10 miles and come home to breakfast made! Jason loves breakfast so he usually has it made for me when I get home and then we would start either yard work or house work. It is alot of work having a house and a yard, but I love it! We haven't been here too long, but I think "what did I use to do on Saturdays?" I didn't have a great neighbor to go running with and we for sure didn't have a yard to work in. I am sure there were lots of lazy days :)
We didn't go very far for vacations this summer, but we had fun going camping, wave running and four wheeling. It is way different with a kid you don't just get up and go somewhere...we use to be gone EVERY weekend and we sure have slowed down. Jason is glad, and I of course want to be out doing stuff more!
I am now excited for the activities we have planned for the fall...Haunted Forest, cornbelly's and of course lots of movie nights with yummy treats! It is just weird that it is almost Christmas...I am NOT ready for snow, and short days so I hope this weather lasts a while!

~Katie~

What Katie Means
You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life.
You are also a keeper of knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread gossip.
People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof, but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to them.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life.
You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home.
You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.
You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

My Two Favorite Boys!!!

Well these two boys are my favorite!!! Reddek and Collin have so much fun together! I posted a couple pictures of their favorite things to do at my house...I forgot swing. They are so funny the other day they were talking giberish to each other but it was like they understood. Collin would say something that sounded like nothing and Reddek would come back No and then a bunch of stuff that meant nothing and they did this for about five minutes. They love each other and I am so glad Reddek has Collin to grow up with. They do of course get in their little fights but by Sunday Reddek is just asking for Collin. I hope they always stay close and become best buds. Well I guess they already are!

They LOVE to go running! Which helps me when I don't feel like exercising Reddek usually finds the running stroller and says "Mom run to Ravry's"...I don't know if they like the run or just that we end up at Avery's, but it gets me exercising so it works :)
They are so funny...they will both hide behind the curtains and run out just laughing.
I love this picture they are playing catch, but Collin kept putting it in Reddek's mit. After this they watched The Sandlot! Of course they both had to have their ball in their hand and they were just staring:)

He proved me wrong again!!!

Well we have been doing projects in our house since we moved in...carpet, painting, and of course decorating. It has been going slow, but fun! One project has been our front room, it has a fire place which i love, but it was kind of an eye sore instead of something to center your room around. Of course we can't afford to just have someone come fix it for us so I was fine with waiting. But Jason on the other hand...when he wants something done he gets it done it's like he can't think about anything else besides his new project! He told me he would build one i thought ya right. Well he did and it looks great! Now for the hole above it. Jason is working on making doors to cover it so we can put a tv in there but not always have it out in the open. We want to be able to decorate the mantel so Jason is being creative and going to make doors that look good and work!
